• The Scorching Core: Sunfire Aegis and SEARING CROWN are the heart of Amumu's power. These items unleash a constant burn, perfect for a champion who likes to linger in the thick of battle.
• Tanky and Tenacious:  Amumu's natural tankiness means he can wear these items and dish out punishment for a surprisingly long time. The SEARING CROWN's unique ability to damage enemies based on their max health means even the bulkiest opponents will feel the heat.
• Turning Wounds into Agony: Thornmail is the final piece of the puzzle.  Not only does it return damage to attackers, but it inflicts grievous wounds, reducing their healing. Combined with Amumu's passive, that healing reduction skyrockets to 60%, making him a nightmare for sustain-heavy teams.
• Build for the Battle:  Once you've got your core, focus on armor and magic resistance items. Adapt these choices to counter the enemy team and ensure you become an unkillable, damage-dealing force!

CURSED TOUCH

This nasty little curse is the key to Amumu's magic damage power. Remember, smack that enemy with a basic attack first – it'll make their next bout of magic damage sting 10% harder.  Because of this, I love teaming up with mid-laners who pack a magical punch – double the hurt, double the fun!

BANDAGE TOSS

Think of this as your long-range, mummy-wrapped grappling hook. It's your go-to for ambushing enemies, and you get two charges to play with.  Don't sweat missing the first toss – sometimes, just getting close is enough. Tag a minion if you have to, then save that second toss to snag your fleeing target. This skill takes some practice to land, but its long range and quick cooldown make it worth mastering.

DESPAIR

A swirling aura of sadness and pain – perfect for mowing down jungle camps and melting enemies in team fights. The best part? You can leave this switched on almost constantly without draining your mana.

TANTRUM

Time for a hissy fit! This skill lets Amumu shrug off some physical damage while dishing out a bit of magic hurt and slowing his foes. Pop this right after a basic attack to really stick to your target. Plus, more area-of-effect damage – always a good thing.

CURSE OF THE SAD MUMMY

The grand finale! This massive tantrum blasts an area with damage and locks those unlucky enough to be caught inside in a 1.5-second stun. While it might seem short, those precious seconds are all your damage dealers need to obliterate the enemy squishies. Plus, your ult leaves them 'cursed,' making every magic attack afterward hit even harder. If you've got an area-of-effect mage on your team, get ready for mayhem!

How to play Amumu

I've logged over 400 matches with Amumu, and let me tell you, this little guy thrives in the jungle. Here's how to make the most of his tankiness and crowd control:

Embrace the Tank Life: Amumu isn't here to dish out insane damage. He's built to soak up hits and lock down enemies like a grumpy, bandaged bulldog.

Team Fight Maestro: Your job in big brawls is to find the squishiest, most important targets and become their worst nightmare. Focus on pinning down their carries (those are the damage dealers) with stuns and slows. Full AP Amumu can be a wild ride, but for most of us, tanky Amumu is where it's at.

Stick Like Glue: Amumu doesn't have a lot of fancy dashes, so once you're in, you're IN. Keep those sad eyes trained on low-health targets and don't let them escape your grasp! Your basic attack combo is simple: Skill 2 – Skill 1 – Attack – Skill 3 – Ultimate.

Surprise Attack!:  Hitting a sneaky ultimate that stuns the entire enemy team is pure joy. Before big fights, try hiding in a bush to ambush them. That long-range Bandage Toss is perfect for closing the gap and kicking things off with a bang.

Early Game Zen: Amumu needs some time to get powerful, so chill out in the jungle and farm those camps. Don't get into unnecessary early fights –  you'll shine brighter later on.
