Author: Son Acton

The best way to build items for Nami in Wild Rift is to focus on support items, that provide more crowd control effects, health regeneration, mana, and ability haste. Here is a guide on how to play Nami in Wild Rift effectively on Kicdo.

Nami Build Breakdown

I really like the Imperial Mandate item when playing Nami. Of course, it provides Nami with important stats such as health, ability power, and ability haste. But the passive of this item is extremely useful.

It allows to deal extra damage and also create explosion damage to help allies finish off enemies. This is a great utility that creates tremendous pressure in the laning phase.

Next are the pure support items that interact well with Nami’s skill set such as Protector's Vow, Staff of Flowing Water, Ardent Censer.

Every time Nami performs a supportive skill on allies, she will activate the passive of these items to provide more shields, attack speed and deal extra damage.

So what if Nami wants to increase her damage. Rabadon’s Deathcap, Rod of Ages are two items that I think are suitable if you want to increase Nami’s damage.

Nami's Runes

The runes I build for Nami will provide more health and mana regeneration. And importantly, with Nami’s strong crowd control ability, Aery is the most suitable rune. It creates the necessary disruption and protection.

Nami abilities

Increase the movement speed for allied champions whenever Nami empowers them. Very useful when initiating or retreating.

This is Nami’s skill that creates a lot of annoyance. With being knocked up for 1.5 seconds, the enemy’s ADCs will instantly become the center of damage if they are hit.

No enemy would want to get hit by this skill. Besides, the range of this skill is very far. Nami can stand in safe positions to use this skill.

I personally apply both cases: one is to create pressure in the laning phase, and two is to use it to block the enemy’s attack path. I have played Nami in the mode that allows continuous attacks. You probably realize that with this skill, if the enemy is hit, they have no chance to continue playing.

This is a skill that is used to attack and heal allies.

This skill allows to empower allies. Whenever I see my AD team initiate an attack, I will buff them immediately. Slowing the enemy by 15% is an opportunity to use other directional skills with slow attack time.

This is a skill that initiates an attack for damage and wide control. I really like using this skill in places with narrow terrain. Especially, it has the knock-up and slow effects. It can create wombo combos with allies. Of course, you can also use it when the enemy team is chasing.

How to play Nami

I have played more than 20 matches with Nami. Here are some tips I learned to play this champion Nami Wild Rift well.

In the laning phase, Tidal Wave is the main skill I use to poke the enemy. And I use it almost continuously to heal my ally. Aqua Prison has good control ability but it is easy to dodge, so I usually use it when the enemy tries to approach me. Then either I force the enemy to retreat or they will get hit by the skill and open up a counterattack opportunity.

Because of the low durability, I always choose to stand behind the front line and try to survive as long as possible in the teamfight. Nami’s role in the teamfight is to increase the speed, damage and heal for the allies. Besides, if possible, I only use Aqua Prison to create pressure on some spaces in the teamfight.

Then I go to ward to control the vision for the teammates.

Nami has a way of stacking control, which is to use the ultimate Tidal Surge and then use Aqua Prison. The enemy will be knocked up twice.

Combo Nami:

AQUA PRISON  Thủy Triều Ước Nguyện Tiên Cá Sóng Thần

Nami pros and cons

  • Has many crowd control effects.
  • Pokes well. Creates strong pressure in the laning phase.
  • Can combine with allies to create wombo combo.
  • Can increase the threat of allies.

  • Low mobility and easy to be caught alone.
  • Very afraid of hard crowd control. Low durability.

Nami Wild Rift is an effective support with the ability to heal and slow, helping allies survive and enhance their attack power. I hope this item build for Nami will help you master this champion.
