Yasuo Build Breakdown

Early Game:

  • Berserker's Greaves: Think of these boots as the fuel for Yasuo's whirlwind of blades. That 30% attack speed boost makes all my combos smoother and snappier, perfect for weaving in and out of fights.
  • Immortal Shieldbow (or Guardian Angel): The choice here depends on those pesky enemy laners. If they're slinging damage from a distance, Guardian Angel's got my back. That bit of lifesteal and the shield when I'm low can mean the difference between a glorious outplay or a grey screen. Yasuo's gotta be in the thick of things, and that shield buys me those precious seconds to get the job done.

Mid Game:

  • Infinity Edge: Time to turn up the damage dial! This is where Yasuo starts to feel unstoppable. With this and his passive, we hit 100% critical strike chance – those swirling blades are going to shred.
  • Blade of the Ruined King: This bad boy is a two-for-one special. Not only does it make every basic attack hit that much harder, but the third hit slows enemies down, making them ripe for chasing (and ultimately, a swift demise).

Late Game:

  • Death's Dance: In those crazy late-game teamfights, I need some insurance against getting bursted down instantly. Death's Dance softens the blow, giving me time to fight back and turn the tide.
  • Guardian Angel: This isn't about extra armor or damage. Think of it as mind games. Enemies know I've got a second life – it makes them think twice about diving for the kill. That hesitation is my opportunity.

Yasuo position

Yasuo in Wild Rift is often used to go mid and Baron, Dragon.

Yasuo abilities

Way of the wanderer Way of the wanderer

Picture this: Yasuo's in constant motion, swirling and weaving like a restless spirit, building up that shimmering shield. It's his lifeline against champs and jungle beasts – tough luck if you're a turret, though!

And those crits... doubled in chance, a little less 'oomph' per hit, but that's Yasuo's tradeoff.

Steel tempest Steel tempest

Short, sharp, and oh-so-sweet. This is Yasuo's bread and butter, but that tornado after two stacks? Pure poetry in motion.  It's the key to unlocking that glorious ult, 'Last Breath'. And get this – a quick tap while dashing makes it a whirlwind of steel. Perfect for when things get messy up close, and it counts as a basic attack!

Wind wall Wind wall

Imagine a shimmering curtain of pure defiance – that's Wind Wall. Arrows, spells, all that nasty ranged stuff, poof! Gone. Just don't expect it to save you from a brawl or a turret's laser glare.

Sweeping blade Sweeping blade

This is where Yasuo gets downright flashy. Blink-and-you'll-miss-him dashes with damage that ramps up?  It's the ultimate chase ability, letting him weave through the fight with deadly precision. But remember, that 8-second cooldown on the same target forces some strategic thinking.

Wanna see a classic Yasuo move? Dash through those poor minions, slice up the enemy, and dash back out through the wave like a phantom.

Last breath Last breath

The grand finale! Yasuo soars into the air and slams down on airborne foes, freezing the fight in place. His flow meter bursts, but his crits? For the next 15 seconds, enemy armor might as well be paper.  This is Yasuo's brutal symphony of damage and control.

How to play Yasuo

What makes Yasuo so fearsome?

It's not just his raw damage, but the whirlwind of steel and motion he becomes on the battlefield. Yasuo's relentless dashes let him dance around his opponents, leaving them dizzy and defeated.

Beyond the flashiness, Yasuo's kit rewards clever playmaking and strategic aggression. He's less a straightforward fighter and more a tempest you carefully unleash.

His defensive power is another secret weapon. The shield that flickers around him and the swirling barrier of his Wind Wall can turn desperate situations into narrow escapes... or even brutal counterattacks.

Early Game

Focus on farming, weathering the early storm to reach level 3. Once that shield is swirling around you, it's time to get bold. Here's a classic Yasuo combo:

  • Charge up Gathering Storm... feel the wind stir at your heels.
  • Slice through a minion wave with Steel Tempest – close the gap with your enemy.
  • One quick auto-attack. No time to waste!
  • Dash again with Last Breath for the follow-up.
  • Block incoming fire with Wind Wall, or use your final dash to weave back through the minions and retreat.

This combo stings because each Steel Tempest gets stronger. Plus, those dizzying dashes make you a hard target to pin down. And don't underestimate the shield – it can mean the difference between a quick skirmish and a trip back to base.

Mid Game

Teamfights become trickier – all those long-range attacks can shred Yasuo's health bar before he can close the distance. Don't charge in blindly!

Use the jungle, even lane minions, to build stacks. Fight near walls and chokepoints –  anywhere that limits where your enemies can stand. This will keep you safer as you build towards that devastating initiation.

Wind Wall is your ace in the hole. Time it right, and you'll send enemy attacks back at them. Aim the tornado right, and you've got the perfect setup for a devastating dash into the fray.

It's all about finding the opening with Last Breath. Then, fueled by armor penetration, your relentless strikes will carve through their ranks.

Late Game

Stay hungry, stay aggressive! It's time to dominate. Once you find a way into their back line, you're a storm that won't be stopped.

Remember, Yasuo is the ultimate high-risk, high-reward thrill. It takes practice – brutal practice – to master that whirlwind dance. But stick with it, and the power you'll feel cutting through your foes becomes addictive.

Yasuo pros and cons

  • Dance of the Blade: Yasuo's 'Steel Tempest' and 'Last Breath' keep him in constant motion. He can zip in for a quick strike, disengage to safety, or chase down fleeing enemies with a flurry of dashes.
  • Always on the Offensive: Yasuo's ability cooldowns are short, letting him unleash a constant barrage of attacks. This makes him relentless in extended fights.
  • Shield upon Shield: Between his passive and the strategic use of 'Wind Wall', Yasuo gains surprising durability. This lets him survive risky maneuvers and turn the tide of a fight.

  • Bound by the Crowd: Crowd control effects (stuns, knockups, etc.) are Yasuo's kryptonite. They disrupt his fluid combos and leave him frighteningly exposed.
  • A Dangerous Reach: Compared to other fighters, Yasuo's basic attacks don't reach far. He has to dive deep into danger to unleash his full damage potential.

Yasuo is a storm of blades, a master of fluid aggression and calculated risks. If you crave a champion who demands technical skill and rewards bold plays, the path of the wanderer might be for you. Just beware those who can hold you down!
